Photography to me was always built on nostalgia. Capturing a moment in time you can go back to [and not just in your mind] over and over again. Life is absolutely full of brief moments. Moments that are fleeting. I cherish those moments! Armed with the ability to capture these moments, I am happy. Anyways! Perhaps we’ll get to some more cheese later…
You may ask, just what does “Ten Toes Into” mean. Truth is, these are lyrics from a song, one titled “Where All the Songs Come From” by Sons of the Sea. Frontman Brandon Boyd had this to say on the song, “This is a piece about the moment when you understand that as good or as bad as something seems, it’s exactly where you are supposed to be. If perceived as such, one can have access to a limitless inspiration, a ‘place’ of sorts that is the wellspring of creativity!”
It’s a motto I’ve been trying to incorporate into my artwork/photography lately. Forget the crazy filters. Forget the fake looking super HDR images. Forget editing an image to be something it’s not. Let’s take a closer look at the life that’s happening all around us.
